A few weeks ago, children and young people across Germany took part in the ‘Girl’s and Boys’ Day – Future Day 2025’ event to get a taste of various professions and gain a cliché-free career orientation.
Together with its project partners, HSEQ Professional on & offshore offered two curious kids an impressive day at the two project construction sites BorWin5 of TenneT in Garrel and the Petkum-Emden/Ost converter station of Amprion’s A-Nord project.
Our health and safety coordinators (SiGeKo) and occupational safety specialists (SiFa) took their two eleven-year-old children to the construction sites. There they were given the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the professional field of a health and safety coordinator and a health and safety officer. The curious kids set about their tasks full of enthusiasm and have already taken part in safety briefings and very attentively and conscientiously completed a site inspection report.
They also designed a flyer with the most important safety instructions to emphasise the importance of occupational safety from a child’s perspective. They also learnt the important rules for a safe working environment and how to communicate these to those around them. The two children particularly enjoyed distributing the flyer to the project participants on the construction site and contributing to safety awareness at work.
They received all-round positive feedback on their work from the various teams and felt very comfortable on the construction sites. At the end of the exciting day, the two children returned home safely from the project construction sites, tired but full of exciting impressions and experiences.
We are delighted to have given the children an exciting and future-orientated day!
