As part of its team building programme, HSEQ Professional on & offshore GmbH invited the team from the ElbX project construction site of the electricity grid operator TenneT to a joint lunch. Our safety expert and Tender Manager Paul Rittich was on site in Wewelsfleth on behalf of our Managing Director Guido Sanders and brought positive impressions and experiences back to Heinsberg.
The ElbX project is one of the most challenging project sections for the construction of the SuedLink power line – making it all the more important to strive for smooth and efficient cooperation. From Wewelsfleth to Wischhafen, a total of 5.2 kilometres, a tunnel boring machine will be drilling under the Elbe over the next one and a half years. HSEQ Professional on & offshore is providing health and safety coordinators (SiGeKo) on both the Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony sides of the Elbe to ensure occupational health and safety on this major construction site and to carry out construction supervision.
All parties found the day to be very positive. Of course, Paul Rittich also took a tour of the new ‘adventure trail’ in Wewelsfleth, which was built next to the construction site: Close to construction site cranes, individual parts of the tunnel borer and the excavation pit, onlookers can observe the goings-on at the construction site and learn interesting facts about the power line project.
